As Freedom Church we are entering one of the most exciting seasons of our existence!

 

Many people may have been unaware of the existence and steady growth of a church movement in Romsey.  For almost 50 years, we have met in homes, community centres and school halls across the town. See the latest timeline of our church history here >

 

We have coped with the temporary and the uncertainty, the setting up and packing down, trying to create a sense of home in a place that is only ‘home’ for a few hours each week. The church has managed this well, even though it has not always been easy.

Over the years, the church has not only grown in size but also deepened its influence within the community. It is more than just a place of worship on Sundays, where people of all ages come together to worship God and engage in biblical teaching. Throughout the week, our church provides a vital support network, offering wraparound care for those in crisis. Through ministries such as our Debt Service, Foodbank, and School Support, as well as partnerships with organizations like the DWP and CAB, we work hard to bring hope, practical assistance, and lasting change to those who need it most.

And now, at last, it is time to put down roots, to create some permanence, a place to call home. Not so that we can rest up, down tools and say that’s enough, but so we can do more, much more…

A safe space, whatever your story and know that you are always welcome.
